Yolanda Castro Munguia, lovingly known as "Grandma Fro", age 73 of Alvin, Texas, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 1, 1952 in La Feria, Texas, Yolanda made her home in Alvin, where she built a life centered on family, faith and kindness. She was a devoted wife, a proud mother, a beloved sister, a deeply loving grandmother and great grandmother. Yolanda poured her heart into River of Life Worship Center in Alvin, Texas, where she was a very active member and a source of encouragement, compassion, and steady faith. Her presence was a constant source of comfort and joy, and her legacy will live on in the many lives she touched. Yolanda is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Castro and Mary Salazar; sister, Angel Lewis; brothers, John J. Castro and Fernando Castro.

Yolanda is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Ruben Munguia Sr.; son, Ruben Munguia Jr. and wife Gina; daughters, Michelle Sandoval and husband Carlos, Esmeralda Harris and husband Richard Harris Jr.; sisters, Minerva Martinez and husband Sotero, Irma Castro and Elba Castro; a motherly presence, Lydia Silgero; grandchildren, Nathaniel Munguia, Matthew Munguia, Joshua Munguia, Trinity Sandoval, Damien Sandoval, Elijah Harris, Noah Harris, Moriah Harris, and Avery Guel; great granddaughter, Evelyn Munguia; along with extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, April 25, 2026 at The Church on MastersRoad with funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM.  A private family graveside will be held at Brazoria Cemetery in Brazoria, Texas.
