Willie Mae Chaffin, age 88 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023. Willie Mae was born June 28, 1935 in Richmond, Texas and was a longtime resident of Alvin. She was a graduate of Alvin High School in 1953 and attended St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin. Willie Mae is preceded in death by her husband, Jerald Chaffin; parents, Frank and Sophie Rychlik; sister, Florence LeCompte; brother, Leonard Rychlik.

Willie Mae is survived by her sons, Michael Chaffin and wife Pam, Tim Chaffin and wife Deana; sister, Pat Shaw; god child, Janet Pitts; grandchildren, Lauren Chaffin, Bryan Chaffin and wife Laura, Melissa Ward and husband Trent, Kristen New and husband Justin, Amy Burroughs and husband Joe; great grandchildren, Callie Jo Ward, Rylee Muhl, Elijah Chaffin, Alyssa Muhl, Wyatt Ward, Elizabeth New, David Chaffin, Ruby Ward, Scotty Burroughs, Jonah Chaffin and Luke New; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Scott Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, September 18, 2023 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, September 18, 2023 at Davis-Greenlawn Cemetery in Rosenberg, Texas.
