Wanda Gale Cunningham, age 67, went home to Jesus February 22, 2025.

Wanda was born March 18, 1957 to Johnny and Margie Coleman. She grew up in the Houston and Pearland area. On March 19, 1976 she met the love of her life Paul Cunningham and married him shortly after on April 9. 1976.

Wanda was dedicated to the church where she served on the session, sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and volunteered at the clothing outlet. She was also volunteering at the Algoa fire department for many years.

Wanda is survived by her husband of 48 years Paul Cunningham, mother Margie Martin, sisters, Karen Monk, Cheryl Martin and Sherry Dempsey. Daughters Tosha and Chris Day and Shawnna Cunningham. Grandchildren Shane and Vanessa Day, Emilee and Cody Anderson, Brandon and Laura Day, Cory Day, Nicholas Cunningham , Caitlin Claussen and Megan Cunningham-Melchor. Great grandchildren Justin,Tyler and Garrett Anderson.

Wanda is proceeded in death by her father Johnny Coleman, stepfather Johnny Martin, brother Dean Martin, Cousin/Best friend Johnny Hill, Father & Mother in Law Raymond and Marie Cunningham and several other friends and close family members.

A visitation will be held Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Scott Funeral Home from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with a funeral service beginning at 3:00 PM. Following the funeral services, a meal will be prepared at the First Presbyterian Church of Alvin and everyone is invited to come.
