Vickie Lynn Richards, age 72 of Alvin, Texas, passed away on June 10, 2022, peacefully at her residence. Vickie was born on June 10, 1950, in Greenup, Illinois and was a lifetime resident of Alvin. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Richards; brothers: Mark Bauguss, Michael Bauguss, and Ross "Buddy" Bauguss; and father, John L. Bauguss.

Vickie is survived by her mother, Hazel Lane; sons: Bobby J. Vest, Eddie W. Vest and wife Gloria; daughters: Tracy L. Hannegan, Tina M. Lira, and Misty A. Kersh; son-in-law, Jeff Hannegan; brother, Clint "Tommy" Lane and wife Wanda; sister, Doris Sinclair and husband Sherman; Grandchildren: Anthony, Christopher, Colby, Gregory, Johnathan, Kyle, Justin, Cole, Shelby, Courtney, Madisson, Emily, and Jeffrey;  Great-grandchildren: Fiona, Braedon, Lilly, Hailey, Travis, Peyton, Taliah, Skylar, and Landon; best friend of over 50 years, Theresa Lewis; neighbor and friend of over 30 years, Juanita Benton; boyfriend, Andy Cordova; and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Vickie loved gardening and working in her flower beds.  She loved music, dancing, watching the Astros, and reading books. She loved her family and every moment she spent with them. She loved to travel, especially the trips and cruises she went on with her family. She loved being a Granny to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and especially loved attending all their birthday parties, baseball games, dance recitals, gymnastics competitions, and school functions.  She was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

The family is eternally grateful to Courtney, Vickie's granddaughter, who provided great comfort and care to her beloved Granny in the last few weeks of Vickie's life.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 15, 2022, with Funeral services beginning at 11:00 A.M. at Scott Funeral Home, 1421 E. Highway 6, Alvin, Texas 77511.

A celebration dinner will be held at Vickie's house immediately following the service.
