Veronica Berniece Zullig, age 86 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Friendship Haven Nursing Facility in Friendswood, Texas.  Berniece was born June 19, 1938 in Sampsel, Missouri and had been a resident of Alvin for the last 29 years. She worked as a credit union manager for Farmers Insurance and was a member of Alvin Missionary Baptist Church in Alvin. Berniece is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Zullig; parents, Lemuel and Bertha James; sister, Marjorie Still; brothers, Truman James, Chester James and Bill James.

Berniece is survived by her sons, Ronnie Garlick and wife Dee Dee, Randy Garlick and wife Darenda, daughter in law Lola Garlick; grandchildren, Scott Garlick and wife Ashley, Tiffany Marley and husband Matt, Kevin Garlick and wife Christina, Kendra Dubec and husband Philip, Jamie Garlick; along with numerous great grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Scott Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Confederate Cemetery. All floral arrangements and pot plants can be sent to the funeral home.
