Ubence Ramon Sr, 78 gained his wings and entered eternal rest on January 17, 2023. "Ramon" was born May 14, 1944, in Premont, Texas where he worked with his father as a cowboy at The Canales Ranch.  He met the love of his life, in that small Texas town, Maria Garcia Ramon. She moved to Houston, Texas in 1962 and three months later he followed his true love, and they were married in February –1963. Together, they had 4 loving children and taught them nothing is more important in life than loving one another.  He spent the next 50 Years of his life working with air condition/heating. He worked 30 years with Aldine Independent School District as the supervisor for the H.V.A.C department until his retirement in 2010. Ramon loved going to church on Sundays and being the first one there to have his alone time with the Lord.

He loved to hunt and fish every chance he got with his two sons and loving son in law's who he saw like his own children. His favorite time was being at the deer lease around the campfire with a Miller Lite.  Sunday was his family day with his children, barbecuing and watching sports.

He is survived by his wife Maria Ramon. His four children Chris (Leti) Ramon,Iris (Jorge) Molina, Cindy (Roger) Guerra, and Ubence, Jr (Cookie) Ramon. His nine grandchildren, and his two great grandchildren that all loved him unconditionally. His two sisters Ofilia (David) Trevino of Premont Texas. Eva (the late, Adan) Cadena from Falfurrias, Texas. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. His is preceded in death by his parents, Roman & Eva Ramon, his brother Ramiro Ramon. His three nephews, Rudy, Roger and Roman (Penny) Ramon.

All funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 6502 County Road 48, Iowa Colony, Texas, on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Private viewing for family only from 10:30 to 11:00. Public viewing from 11-12. To be followed by mass from 12-1 pm. Burial will be after mass at Confederate Cemetery, 110 Cemetery Road, Alvin, Texas 77511

Pallbearers will be Christopher Ramon, Jr. Ubence Ramon  III, Jeremy Black, Vincent Hernandez, Trey Trevino, and Adan Cadena, Jr.  Honorary Pallbearers will be R.J. Guerra and Thomas Hamner.
