Thurmon Lee Cross, age 77 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022 surrounded by his family. Thurmon was born on December 29, 1944 in DeQueen, Arkansas and was a lifetime resident of Alvin. He worked for many years as a Pipefitter and was a member of the Church of Christ, and proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Thurmon is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gayle Cross, daughters, Roxann Weigel and husband Skip, Holly Allen and husband Scott, sisters, Barbara Kelley, Jean Cain and husband Harry, Judy Henry and husband Jimmy, brothers, Ronnie Cross and wife Cheryl, Sammy Cross and wife Mary, Jerry Cross, sister-in-law Karen Perkins and lifelong friend Robert Morris, grandchildren, Megan Allen, Abby Allen, Tucker Allen, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Thurmon's greatest joy was on the golf course, he also loved traveling and watching his grandchildren play sports.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM with Memorial Services beginning at 5:00 PM at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, Texas.
