Thomas William Bowman (Tommy), of Alvin, TX, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the age  of 58. Tommy was born December 12, 1964 in Abilene, TX to the late Richard and Ann Bowman.

After graduating from Gladewater High School, he attended Stephen F Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX where he completed a marketing degree in 1988.  He then settled in Alvin, TX where he resided for over 30 years.  He enjoyed a long and rewarding career in electrical distribution, most recently working in inside sales for Turtle and Hughes.  He developed a strong network of friends and colleagues over the course of his career.

Tommy was a devoted husband to his wife of 33 years, Sherry Chelette Bowman, and loving father to his children, Sarah and Michael.  He enjoyed family vacations, including time at the lake house and camping.  He was always up for an adventure and had many entertaining stories to share as a result! Tommy was also a sports enthusiast who particularly loved to cheer on the Aggies.

Tommy was a kind and generous hearted man; a friend to everyone.  He had a positive attitude, a contagious laugh, and a compliment ready for those who were fortunate to know him.  He was always happy to lend a hand and looked for opportunities to help others; qualities that made him a dedicated family man, valuable friend and talented salesman.

In addition to his wife and children, Tommy is survived by his brother, Steven Bowman, along with numerous extended family members and friends.

Tommy's family is thankful for the many years they had with him and for the positive impact he had on those who knew him.  He was well loved and will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Tommy's name to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
