Terri Renee Whitlow Rivers of Alvin, Texas, passed away on November 29, 2021 surrounded by close family and friends.

Terri was born on October 27, 1965 to William and Lynda (Whitlock) Whitlow in the Bassett Army Hospital on Fort Wainwright (Fairbanks), Alaska.  She attended Alvin High School and Alvin Community College where she studied childcare which she pursued professionally in Manvel, Texas.

In 1981, Terri and Harold Gene Rivers were married, and they were blessed with two children, Chantelle Nicole and Christopher Nathan, and later, two grandchildren, William Alexander (Alex) Hammond and Zachery (Zach) Ryan Hammond, all of Alvin.

Terri was predeceased by her mother, Lynda Carolyn Neil, and her brother, Todd Randall Whitlow.  She is survived by her Husband, Harold Rivers; her father, William Whitlow; her children, Chantelle Hammond and Chris Rivers; her brother Trent Reagan Whitlow; her son-in-law Eric Hammond; her grandsons Alex and Zach; her Aunts Phyllis Jean Gregory and Judy Price; and by her nieces and nephews – Michael Whitlow(Sarah, Teagan, Taylor),Dustin Whitlow(Amelia, Aubrey, Layne), and Trisha Whitlow (Jayce, Tanner, Ryleigh). Her extended family included many others.

Terri loved people.  She was known as "Mom" to many of her children's friends, and was the good friend of many people she met through her jobs and through her constant desire to help people who were in need.

Terri loved the beach.  During the summers, she would round up the kids and head to Galveston or Surfside.  An avid collector of seashells, she made artistic arrangements of shells and sand in a clear vases which she shared with others.  Her home is decorated with seashells, lighthouses and all things "beach".

Terri will be greatly missed, as she was loved by so many.
