Taugrino Valdez, age 83 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in Webster, Texas. Taugrino was born on March 3, 1942, in Gonzales Texas and was a resident of Alvin. He was a A1 mechanic, he worked for the city of Texas City. He also worked for other large dealerships in the Galveston County Area. Taugrino was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Valdez and Maria Garcia, wife, Eloise Valdez, daughter, Roseanne Kilman, son, Jamie Valdez, sister Lupita Lucio, brothers, Domingo Valdez, Jose Valdez, Johnny Valdez, and Donato Valdez

Taugrino is survived by his daughter, Cassandra Pursel and husband Jerry, daughter n law, Monica Garcia, girlfriend, Maria Gonzalez, sister, Mary Vasquez, brothers, Antonio Valdez and wife, Gregorio Valdez and wife Mary, grandchildren, Eric Kilman, Justin Kilman, Tiffany Kilman, Zachary Pursel, Zoey Pursel, Trent Pursel, great-grandchildren, Tyler, Zaylin, Cameron, Caleb, Grayson, Kyzer, Kyza. God daughters, Jessica and Gregoria, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Pallbearers Donato Valdez Jr, Christopher Valdez, Jerry Pursel, Trent Pursel, Justin Kilman, Ira Winston Jr.

Taugrino biggest hobbies in life was fishing and hunting. He enjoyed being around family and friends, having his famous fish fries and tamale dinners for everyone. He will be missed by all.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, Texas with funeral services beginning at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in the Confederate Cemetery.
