Tammy Soape Cromartie, age 60, was called to her heavenly home on September 22nd, 2022 while being showered with love, surrounded by her family.

Tammy was born in Orange, Texas on August 29th, 1962 to William "Willie Joe" Soape and Juanita "Tooter" Broussard. She grew up surrounded by a big loving cajun family, and it was here in her childhood town that she met the love of her life, Stan Cromartie.

She was awarded her associates in respiratory therapy at Lamar University and went on to receive her bachelors in healthcare administration from Southwest Texas State University in May of 1985. Following her graduation she married her soulmate, Stan, where they began their journey of 37 beautiful years together.

Tammy worked as a respiratory therapist, activities director for a nursing home, optometric assistant, and teacher for special needs children. Though she served in many different career paths over her lifetime, her truest passion in life was loving and serving others. She never missed an opportunity to help someone in need.

Tammy claimed her greatest and most fulfilling accomplishment was mothering her four children and fiercely loving her grandchildren. Anyone who met Tammy knew she naturally radiated strength, beauty, faith, and love. The overwhelming warmth of her spirit was brilliant and divine. She never left a soul untouched by her infinite love.

She is survived by her husband: Stan Cromartie, children and their spouses: Chase & Nicole Cromartie, Ty Cromartie & Andrea Campbell, Brooke & Julian Camarata, and Trey Cromartie, parents: Willie Joe & Juanita Soape, and grandchildren: McKel & Thomas Cromartie, Anastasia Kromerakis, and Leonidas & Naomi Camarata.

Tammy was a woman of strong faith, so it was her firm belief that she will be made anew in Heaven, and she requested a celebration of life to honor this joyous occasion instead of funeral arrangements. She hopes that her friends and family can come together after a time of healing to love the Lord and love each other in her honor. The date and location of this celebration is to be determined.
