Shirley Turner, age 85 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2026 in Webster, Tx. surrounded by her family.  Shirley was born on October 23, 1940 in Dekalb, Texas and was a resident of Alvin, Texas for over 45 years.  She was a homemaker, a member of the Baptist Faith. She loved going to the deer lease at Brushy Creel Ranch, playing cards and fishing. She loved going to Las Vegas for the last 41 years with her daughter, and with Karen Baker for the past five years. She loved sitting on her back porch watching the birds and squirrels. She loved her flowers and plants but mostly loved her dog, Sophie. She would stand up against anyone to protect her kids, who loved her more than anything. Shirly was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Turner, parents, Opal and Ira Smith.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Shauna Turner; son, Kenneth Turner; along with numerous extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 10:00 am at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, Texas.
