Shirley Stockton, age 77 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026 surrounded by her family.  Shirley was born December 14, 1948, in Alice, Texas and had been a resident of Alvin for 40 years. She owned and operated New Beginning flower shop for many years and was Christian by faith.  Shirley enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, and time with family and friends. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Stockton, parents, William and Lois Pearson, grandson, Clayton Wright, brother, Emmitt Pearson.

Shirley is survived by her, son Jay Beasley and wife Debbie; daughters Diana Hilton, Sherry Houdyshell and husband Steven, Beverly Wright and husband Greg; sister, Charlene Appleby and husband James; grandchildren Ashley Keyes, James Wright, Daniel Allen, Zacrie Wright, great grandchildren Paisley, Evie, Benson, Redford, Junnie, Kiari, and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2026, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Scott Funeral Home, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Confederate Cemetery following the services.
