Shirley Gene Denham, age 81 of League City, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Gene was born on November 30, 1940, in Wheeler, Texas, and was a former resident of Alvin, Texas. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy, and travelled the world. After the Navy, he became an electrician, running his own business for many years. Eventually, he retired from NASA, where he worked for several contractors.  He was a man of faith, always eager to help, with an easy laugh.  Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Shirley Bruce Denham and Myrtle Lucille Denham; brothers, Bruce Denham and Kenneth Denham.

Gene is survived by his daughter, Denise Cruz; son, Mark Denham; sister, Judy Brewer.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022, at 10:00 A.M.  at Scott Funeral Home. A brief graveside service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene, Texas.
