Sharon Gail Sanders, age 66, of Alvin, Texas, passed away Friday, July 28, 2023. Sharon was born January 10, 1957 in Texas City, Texas. She grew up in Alvin a number of years before moving to North Carolina, then Georgia for a while before returning these last 7 years to her hometown of Alvin. Sharon enjoyed classic rock 60's, 70's, 80's music and could put anyone to shame when playing Name-That-Tune. She always knew the artist and the song title. Sharon had a very deep faith in the Lord and was baptized at Heights Baptist Church as a young adult. She loved family and friends and especially loved family dinners on Monday Nights. She enjoyed the beach and camping on the Frio River. She always had a smile on her face and great conversations for anyone she met. She was always willing to give to others, although she didn't have much. Watching old westerns and Hee Haw were her favorites. Sharon graduated from Alvin High School where she met many of her beloved, lifelong friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents George Elwood Sanders and Pearl Sanders Dawes, as well as her stepfather Roger Dawes.

Sharon is survived by her aunt Doris Esparza and aunt Wanda Janett Moore, brother Russell Sanders and step sisters Marianne Dawes, Kimberly French and Diana Power (husband Robert), step brothers Paul Dawes (wife Diane) and Timothy Dawes (wife Shelia) and her niece Cassie Williams (husband Raymond) and many, many other family members and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held from 10:00AM - 11:00AM Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Heights Baptist Church, 1591 CR 144, Alvin, Texas. A memorial service will begin at 11:00AM following the visitation.
