Salvador Mosqueda, age 78 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Friday, August 28, 2026. Salvador was born May 12, 1948 in La Calera, a small town near Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico, and was a resident of Alvin for over 40 years. In the early 1970s, Salvador relocated to Texas, choosing to raise his family first in Angleton and later in Alvin, TX. Throughout his life, he held various positions, including working in agriculture and at the Amoco plant, before retiring from Alvin ISD in 2012 following 22 years of dedicated service. Salvador built numerous friendships over the years and truly never met a stranger; he loved conversing with others and possessed a sincere interest in every conversation he shared. Known for his playful spirit, he enjoyed joking with family and friends and always had a punchline ready for any occasion. Salvador cherished spending quality time with his family, participating in bible study, and cheering on the Houston Astros. Above all, he was a kind, honest, and an authentic man whose life was deeply devoted to God and his family. Salvador is preceded in death by his wife Gloria A. Mosqueda; parents Heriberto and Maria C. Mosqueda; brothers Juan Mosqueda, José Mosqueda, Antonio Mosqueda, Enrique Mosqueda, Francisco Mosqueda, and sister, Carmen Soria.

Salvador is survived by his daughter Maria M. Mosqueda. In addition, numerous family members, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews across Mexico, California, Colorado, and Texas.

A memorial visitation will take place at Scott Funeral Home Friday, September 4, 2026 from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM, with a memorial service beginning at 5:00 PM.
