Ruben Maldonado, age 62 of Alvin, Texas passed away Friday, November 3, 2023 at UTMB hospital in Galveston, Texas with his daughters by his side. Ruben was born June 15, 1961 in Galveston Texas and was a lifetime resident of Alvin. He is proceeded in death by his twin sons, Ruben, N. Maldonado, and Robby W. Maldonado; mother, Sarah Lopez, and stepfather, Augustine Lopez; father, Estaven Maldonado; sister, Victoria Maldonado; grandmothers, Sophie Villarreal and Carlotta Balli; nephews Christopher Barajas and Michael Maldonado; niece, Erica Barajas.

He enjoyed listening to music, telling stories, and watching sports especially the Astros and Texans. He adored his grandchildren. He loved his dogs and cat and spending time with family.

Ruben is survived by his daughter Crystal Rivas and husband Aramis; daughter, Ruby Maldonado and husband Ricky Rodriguez; brothers, Victor Maldonado and Steve Maldonado; sisters, Yolanda Maldonado, Suzanna Lopez, Tina Lopez and Carmen Lopez; grandchildren, Marcus, Thomas, Marisa, Emily, Maricela, Alonzo and Jordan. Tio, Adolfo Adame and numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM Friday November 17,2023 at Scott Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Scott Funeral Home.
