Rose Ellen Cox, age 77 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024 at UTMB Hospital in Clear Lake, Texas.  Rose was born October 31, 1946 in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania and was a longtime resident of Alvin. She worked as an Occupational Therapist for special needs adults and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Rose is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Jake Cregg Cox Jr.

Rose is survived by her son, James Blow and wife Judy of Henricoe, VA.; daughter, Roseanne Gatlin and husband Darrell of Liverpool, TX.; grandchildren, Justin Gatlin and wife Colleen, Luiz Ruiz and wife Marissa, Travis Gatlin and wife Victoria; great grandchildren, Anastasia Gatlin, Samuel Gatlin, Xiomara Ruiz, Josiah Gatlin and Mariela Ruiz; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Pallbearers: Travis Gatlin, Luiz Ruiz, Delbert Hutchinson, Drew Walker, Chip Maness and Hal Bohn

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM Saturday, June 15, 2024 Alvin Missionary Baptist Church with funeral services beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas.
