Rosa Buitron, age 93 of Houston, Texas passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Houston Methodist Hospital of Clear Lake, Texas. Rosa was born August 30, 1928 in Brownsville, Texas and was a longtime resident of Houston. She attended St. John's Catholic Church in Alvin and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Rosa is preceded in death by her parents, Quirino and Maria Buitron; her brothers, Hilario Buitron, Faustino Buitron, Roberto Buitron, Felipe Buitron, Quirino Buitron; her sisters, Trinidad Salinas, Antonia Garza, Guadalupe Garza, Josefina Munoz, her niece Mary Garza, daughter in law, Angie Rodriquez; and dearest friend, Mary Lois McIlwain.

Rosa is survived by her sons, Fred Buitron and wife Connie, Armando Rodriquez; grandchildren, Mindy Harwell and husband Ryan, Federico Buitron JR and wife Tammy, Daniel Buitron and wife Esther, Anna Rodriquez, Ashley Tinoco and husband Martin, and Amanda Rodriquez; great grandchildren, Federico Buitron III, Alianna Buitron, Caitlin Harwell, Elias Buitron, Emelina Buitron, Alden Harwell, Jayden Vasquez and Charlotte Tinoco; along with numerous other relatives and friends. Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the entire Fleming and McIlwain family for your love and support over the years; you are a very special family and Rosa loved you all dearly.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Scott Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM January 27, 2022 at St. John's Catholic Church with interment to follow at Confederate Cemetery in Alvin.
