Robert Bryendt Marshall Sr., age 76, of Alvin, Texas, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022, at his home. Robert was born September 13, 1945, in Houston, Texas, and was a resident of Alvin since 1974.   He attended Alvin High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Robert met the love of his life, Frances, in 1966 at a Christmas dance in East Bernard and married in July of 1967. They were married for 55 years. Robert worked as a pipefitter out of Local 211 and retired in 2004 after 36 years. He enjoyed numerous hobbies such as fishing, playing cards and games, listening to music, and studying history. Robert was a family man who loved his family very much. His favorite times were when they were all together, and his pride and love for them shone through when he spoke of them. He valued hard work, emphasized the importance of a good work ethic, and was always there to lend a hand to those who needed it. He is preceded in death by his father, George Marshall; mother and stepfather, Goldie, and Fred Stovall; sister, Judith Riggins and husband Ralph; sister, Janie Wolsey and husband Buddy; and half-brother, Freddie Stovall.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Frances Gabreala (Novak) Marshall; son, Robert Bryendt Marshall, Jr. and wife Cheryl and their children, Evelyn, Grant, and Gabreala; son, Steven Edward Marshall and wife Jennifer and their daughter, Jordan; daughter, Sheila Marshall Martinez and husband Frank and their daughters, Mykayla and Kaitlyn; sister, Debra Smith and husband D.R.; half-sister, Carol Ackers, along with numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Friday, September 9, 2022, at Scott Funeral Home, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 10, 2022, at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin.
