Richard Allen Armstrong, age 68 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas.  Richard was born June 16, 1955 in La Marque, Texas and was a longtime resident of Alvin. He retired as shift foreman from Amoco at Chocolate Bayou with 38 years of service and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Richard is preceded in death by his wife, Jo Armstrong; parents, Phillip and Joyce Armstrong; sister Diana Svahn; brothers, Jack Armstrong and Roy Armstrong.

Richard is survived by his sister, Debbie Keever and husband Larry; brothers, Glen Armstrong, Robert Armstrong and wife Karen; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Monday, June 3, 2024 at Scott Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Scott Funeral Home with interment to follow at Confederate Cemetery.
