Remigia "Remi" Cuello, age 98 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026 in Alvin.  Remi was born July 28, 1927 in New Gulf, Texas and was a lifelong resident of Alvin. She was a devoted member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Remi is preceded in death by her husband, Mack L. Cuello; parents, Felipe and Maria Garza Sr.; brothers, Ramiro Garza Sr., Clemente Garza Sr., Joe Garza Sr., Martin Garza Sr. and Ramon Garza.

Remi is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Cuello and Cynthia Arriaga; sons, Maxcimino Cuello Jr. and wife Nancy, Ernest Cuello and wife Diana, Ruben Cuello and wife Tina, Henry Cuello, Mark Cuello and wife Nancy; brother, Felipe Garza Jr. and wife Porfie; 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family would like to thank Maggie Silva and her entire staff at The Right White Home and the Elysian Hospice care team for all of their care, love and support of their loved one.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church with a rosary to be recited at 10:45 AM. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church with interment to follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Alvin.
