Preston Leon Mealer, age 77, of Pearland, Texas, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024. Preston was born August 5, 1946, in Big Springs, Texas. Preston had a passion for his family, serving others, building custom homes, and for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Preston served in the Army in the Fourth Infantry and was stationed in Vietnam from 1968 - 1969. Preston started Mealer Homes in the 1980's and was well known in his community. He spent 25 years in the oil refineries as an operator while also helping others build their dream homes. Preston is preceded in death by his parents Robert Odell and Opal Evelyn Mealer, grandparents Clarence and Cora Lee Wilkerson.

Preston is survived by his wife Linda Lee Gray Mealer; sons Brandon Leon Mealer and wife Nycol, Matthew Casey Mealer and wife Marti; sisters Zelda Mealer and Norma Lee; brother Bobby Mealer; grandchildren Loghan Nycol Mealer, Cayden Janea Mealer, Trace Bryan Mealer, and Presley Faith Mealer.

A memorial visitation will be Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Scott Funeral Home from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A memorial service will start at 11:00 AM.
