Peter "Butchie" Michael Ryan III, age 77 of Hitchcock, Texas, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at UTMB Hospital in Galveston, Texas.  Butchie was born December 2, 1947 in Galveston and was a longtime resident of Santa Fe, Texas. He worked as a machinist/operator for Union Carbide and would later go onto work for G&H Towing. Butchie is preceded in death by his father, Peter Ryan Jr. and mother Billie Bauer.

Butchie is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Judy Ryan; sons, Peter Michael "Scooter" Ryan IV, Raymond "Bubba" Ryan and wife Shannon; sister, Cathy Sartain and her husband Jerry Henrich; grandchildren, Mickey Terrell, Corine Terrell, Shawna Ryan, Jacob Ryan and Kaitlyn Ryan; 1 great grandchild and numerous extended family and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Scott Funeral Home with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 AM.
