Pete Barba, age 85 of Alvin, Texas passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023. Pete was born June 29, 1938, in Proctor, Colorado, and has been a resident of Alvin since 1955. Pete is preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Florence Barba along with 10 brothers and sisters. Pete is survived by his loving wife Billie Barba of 65 years; sons, Randy Barba and wife Tanya, Jeff Barba and wife Kelly; daughters, Karen Alford and husband Jack, Lisa Watkins and husband Don; sisters, Angie Benavidez and Josie Velasquez; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Pete started his journey in Alvin, Texas working in the produce department at Stanton's Shopping Center where he met his loving wife, Billie. They had four beautiful children. He loved sports and started coaching peewee baseball. He then coached the Phillies Little League Baseball Team and went on to win the first City Wide Championship in 1971. Not only did Pete enjoy sports, but he also loved to fish and be outdoors every chance he could get. He owned Pete's Auto Supply and was a member of the Alvin Rotary Club. Pete worked for Team Inc. for over 30 years and was the President of International Maintenance, Inc. (IMI) for several years. He enjoyed attending all of his children's activities throughout his lifetime. His battle with medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life's challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Pete came out as a hero and stayed strong until the end. He will truly be missed by all.

A Memorial service will be held at The Church on Master's Road (6911 Masters Road, Manvel, Texas 77578). It will be held on October 26, 2023, at 3:00 PM.
