Paula Maxey, age 91 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025.  Paula was born on November 15, 1933 in Galveston, Texas to Judge Andrew Johnson and wife Verdia McGhee and was a resident of Alvin, Texas for over 60 years.  Paula was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edgar Maxey, twin sister, Pauline Bouse, sisters, Barbara Brister and Corabeth Evans, Andrew Johnson Jr., 2 great grandchildren, Wyatt and John Wayne Williams.

Married to Edgar Ross Maxey, Sr. in 1952 and moved to the Santa Fe area in 1962.  Blessed with 3 children and their spouses, Edgar (Billy) and wife Bonnie, Eddy Maxey and wife Nanette, Linda Maxey Guidry and husband Wesley, 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Paula loved family and music.  She is loved and will be truly missed, and was a blessing to all she knew.

A visitation will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, Texas with funeral services beginning at 5:00 PM.  A graveside service will be held Sunday, August 10, 2025 at 10:00 am in the Bolivar cemetery in Bolivar, Texas.
