Paul Wesley Hoisington, age 99 of Alvin, Texas passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026 in Sugarland, Texas. Paul was born April 30, 1926 in Nelsonville, Ohio and was a longtime resident of Alvin. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and for 30 years as truck mechanic. Paul would also go on to become an ordained Pentecostal minister. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margie Hoisington; parents, Roger and Freda Hoisington; brothers, Robert Hoisington and Phillip Hoisington; sisters, Virginia Williams, Wilma Fleshman, Marjorie Latham, Martha Mahan.

Paul is survived by his son, Paul Hoisington Jr. and wife Terry; daughters, Freda Purnell and husband Russ, Diane Huisenga; grandchildren, Brian Hoisington, Jennifer Harris, Kyle Hoisington, Adam Hoisington, Erin Cuello and Dion Huisenga; sister, Lucille Zinn, numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Scott Funeral Home.

A private burial will be held Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
