Patricia (Diane) Mitchell, age 73 of Alvin passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the Delaney South Shore. Diane was born May 28, 1951, the daughter of Jewel Andrew Rutledge and Oleta Faye Rutledge. Diane met Dan when they were both 14 at the American Legion Hall In Alvin. The two were married on October 4, 1968, and together raised two children.

Diane lived in Alvin with her husband, Dan Mitchell until their retirement in 2005 when they relocated to Medina, Texas. Diane was a loving wife, mother and "mawmoo". She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Diane is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dan Mitchell; daughter, Toshua Roeder (Scott); son, Clint Mitchell; brother, Ronald Rutledge; grandchildren, Brandon Roeder (Shelbie), Brooke Garcia (Rob), Shelby Gillaspia (Trevor), Devin Mitchell (Aysiah), Anthony Jaurequi (Anna), Adrian Jauregui (Yicel); 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Scott Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 PM. Interment will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Oak rest Cemetery in Medina, Texas.

The family would like to give thanks to the Memory Care Team at Delaney South Shore and Magnolia Hospice Care for the love, care and compassion shown to Diane and family.
