Nita Gayle Switzer, age 82 of Santa Fe, Texas passed away Friday, July 1, 2022 at Regency Village Senior Living Facility in Webster, Texas. Nita was born September 26, 1939 in Duncan, Oklahoma and was a longtime resident of Galveston County. She was a longtime member of Baker Drive Baptist Church of Dickinson and worked as a bus driver for Clear Creek ISD for 24 years. Nita is preceded in death by her husband, Otis Switzer; parents, Rev. L.H. and Okneta Owen; special friends, Jack and Juanita Rowe, Larry Rowe.

Nita is survived by her daughters, Judy Bradshaw, Holly Townsend (Brett); sons, Travis Switzer (Brenda), Doug Latimer (Chieri); brother, Rev. John E. Owen (Jean); grandchildren, Tessa Ross (George), T.J. Switzer (Evie), Jessica Utton (David), Emily White (Joe), Morgan Nelson (Brent), Jenna Boone (Dalton); great grandchildren, Koltin, Wesley, Remington, Maddy, Brantley, Titus, Jazmin, Joey and Charlotte; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 AM Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Baker Drive Baptist Church ( 3900 Baker Drive Dickinson, Texas 77539 ). Interment to follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery, Hitchcock, Texas
