Nancy Gail King Lemmon, age 71 of Friendswood, Texas passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022 in Houston, Texas. Nancy was born on May 12, 1951 in Borger, Texas and was a 12 year resident of Friendswood, formerly from Baytown, Texas. Nancy attended The Harbor Church in Friendswood, Texas and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents William King and June King; step-mother, Ann Odom. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Laura Lemmon; sons, Kevin Lemmon and wife Jenna; Brian Lemmon and wife Sue; Michael Lemmon; brothers, Paul King, David King, Danny King, and Robert "Rusty" Brown; sister, Jan King Knight; Cousins who she loved as sisters, Patti McCartney, Cyndi Esch and Debbi McClain; grandchildren, Aeneas Lemmon, Austin Lemmon, Ayla Lemmon, Nora Lemmon and Levi Lemmon; ex-husband, Robert Lemmon; numerous other loved nieces, nephews, close friends and family. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at The Harbor Church, Friendswood, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family ask that a donation be made in Nancy's name to Lupus Texas Gulf Coast Chapter or the Alpha-1 foundation.

Nancy was a student, a teacher, a mother, and a friend. She loved her children and grandchildren with a fierce tenacity that will be greatly missed and never replaced. She truly loved the Lord and continually wrote out Bible verses to remind her and others of His love and goodness. She knew what she liked and what she did not like. She was not afraid to watch the same Christmas movie 3 times in the month of July. She believed that breakfast food could be eaten at least 3 times a day, and was a skilled bread maker. Nancy had an amazing sense of humor, laughed early and often at life and the absurd, ironic nature of life in general. She has so many sayings that will live on through her children and grandchildren. She was consistent in her love and discipline. Nancy home schooled for over 20 years and she never stopped loving to learn new things. Nancy truly knew so much about so many general topics from Minecraft to gardening to microbiology, she truly was a renaissance woman and was eager to share her wisdom with all around her.  Her voice of praise, love and song will be missed by so many. Her smile and laughter filled any room she was in. She had a lovely voice and she loved to sing Christmas songs, Christian worship music and hymns. Her birthday cards, calls, and voicemails were the absolute best and will be missed so much, but will remember the treasured times with her. She truly was one of the nicest people ever to set foot on this planet. She had no enemies. She loved everyone. She had compassion for all. May we learn from her life lessons and live up to the potential she saw in us. She will be missed so much.

True to form, Nancy was positive and cheerful, full of courage and faith in the goodness of the Lord. She is now at peace in the arms of Jesus.
