Michael Smith, age 73 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025 surrounded by his family.  Michael was born on February 8, 1952 in Freeport, Texas and was a lifetime resident of Alvin.  He worked for many years in the construction industry starting as a Welder until retiring as a Construction Manager.  According to Mike, he was the "head peddler at Retired R Us." He enjoyed attending events for his grandkids, anything involving cool cars, piddling in his yard and numerous other activities. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Leta and Lloyd Smith.

Michael is survived by his wife, Deanna Smith of 51 years, son, Randy Smith and wife Amber, sister, Diana Cates, 3 grandchildren, Layne, Noah, Skylar, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held Monday, November 24, 2025 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, Texas.
