Michael Dean Powell, age 53 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Mike was born on March 6, 1969 and was a lifetime resident of Alvin. He worked for many years as a Process Tech. after graduating from Alvin Community College. He enjoyed all things Texas Longhorn, enjoyed fishing, playing ultimate Frisbee with his friends and everything that his son Noah participated in.

His daughter, Abigail Ruth Powell, and best friend and mentor his Uncle Roy Powell, preceded Mike in death.

Mike is survived by his son, Noah Powell and his mother, Mike's former wife and dearest friend Lesa-Lockhart Powell, loving mother Martha Verbeck, father, Floyd Powell and wife Barbara, sister, Robbin Skidmore and husband Steve, nieces, Taylor Blissit and husband Scott, Madison Wilder and husband Blair, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM, Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, Texas.
