Melva Buitro Chacon-Martinez, age 67 of Alvin, Texas passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Melva was born on April 23, 1954 in Brownsville, Texas and was a resident of Alvin for over 15 years. Melva is preceded in death by her father, Quirino Buitron, and son, Alfredo Vasquez.

Melva is survived by her husband, Ignacio Chacon Martinez; mother, Aurora Buitron; daughter, Patricia Vara; son, Federico Vasquez; sisters, Maricela Zavala, Leticia Guzman, and Norma Buitron Flores; brothers, Antonio Buitron and Quirino Buitron Jr.; grandchildren, Angelica Vara, Aaron Vasquez, and Anthony Vasquez.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Scott Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M.
