With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for her life, I announce the passing of my beloved mother, Melanie Glaze, age 56, of Pearland, Texas. She left this world peacefully on Sunday, September 21, 2025, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by love.

Born on April 7, 1969, in Carthage, Texas, Mom brought warmth, wisdom, and unwavering strength to everyone she met. For over two decades, she made Pearland her home, filling it with laughter, kindness, and the comforting presence only a mother can give. She dedicated her professional life to helping others as a Human Resources Director, and her spiritual life to serving the Lord as a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Manvel.

Mom was preceded in death by her father, Nolen Glaze, Sr., her sister, Sabrina Stewart, and her nephew, Devon Guidry, all of whom she loved dearly and missed profoundly.

She is survived by her loving mother, Delois Glaze; her son, Caleb Robinson, and daughter-in-law, Erica; her cherished granddaughter, Kendall Robinson, who brought her endless joy; her sister, Tammy Guidry, and husband Greg; her brother, Nolen Glaze, Jr., and wife Lisa; and a wide circle of family and friends who were blessed to know her.

To me, she was more than a mother—she was my greatest teacher, my fiercest protector, and my most loyal friend. Her love was unconditional, her faith unshakable, and her laughter unforgettable.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin, Texas, with funeral services beginning at Noon. She will be laid to rest at the Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, where we will gather to honor her life and legacy.
