McArthur (Buddy) Langford, age 79 of Liverpool, formerly of Alvin, Texas passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022. McArthur was born November 29, 1942, in Langdale, Alabama. McArthur proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a devoted Christian. McArthur enjoyed auto mechanics, painting, yard work, and just doing anything outside and was considered a "Jack of all Trades." Anyone that knew him, knew he was a talker and a great story teller. When the grandkids came along, Papa Buddy was always teaching them things that he knew, never missing an opportunity for a learning or coaching moment with them. McArthur is preceded in death by his son William Langford, and parents William and Phoebe Lola Langford, brother, Billy Langford, Sr. and wife Mary.

McArthur is survived by his wife of 61 years Cherry Langford; daughters Christina Sauer and husband Andrew, Brenda Langford, and Lola Suttenfield; Sons Robert Langford and Mark Langford; sister Barbara Ann Veltman; brothers Larry Langford and wife Edna, Robbie Langford and wife Sheri; 10 grandchildren Ryan, Brittany, Braeden, Chris, Jessica, Tammy, Angela, Steven, Ashley, and Sidney; 7 great-grandchildren, and numerous other family and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M with a service beginning at 2:00 PM. Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Scott Funeral Home.
