Mary Kennedy passed away Monday, July 24, 2023, at the age of 75.  Mary was born February 28, 1948, in Kingsville, Texas, and was a resident of Alvin for 50 years. Mary loved the outdoors as well as hunting, fishing, reading, and sitting on the back patio of the ranch watching her hummingbirds. Along with cheering on her Astros every game they played, she also enjoyed traveling all over the country with her husband and family and had a knack for the slot machines. Mary is preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Sara Estrada, as well as her grandson Avery Gutierrez.

Mary is survived by her husband Larry Phillip "Rusty" Kennedy; daughters Lisa Riggs and husband Bobby, Margret Perez and husband Oliver, Kimberly Weldon and husband Kim, Kaleen Weatherly and husband Britt; grandchildren Adam, Alec, Ashley, Desiree, Matthew, Krae, Kailey, Kennedy, Brittany, and Hannah, as well as numerous great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Monday, July 31, 2023, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Scott Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 7:00 PM Monday, July 31, 2023, at Scott Funeral Home.
