Mary Becerra Garcia, age 76 of Alvin, Texas, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 29, 2026 at HCA Clear Lake Hospital in Webster, Texas.  Mary was born May 26, 1950 in Brownsville, Texas and was a lifelong resident of Alvin. She worked many years as a welder for Paulhn Electric and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Mercedes and Nicolasa Becerra; brother, Hector Becerra; sisters, Angie Salinas and Victoria Garcia.

Mary is survived by her husband, Alex Garcia Sr.; sons, Reyes Rodriguez Jr. (Amanda), Randy Rodriguez (Vanessa); daughter, Evelyn Martinez; step sons, Alex Garcia Jr. (Lorraine), Ernie Garcia (Samantha), Edam Garcia (Betsy); brothers, Mack Becerra and Maggie Becerra; sisters, Pilar San Miguel, Mercy Trigo, Josie Chatham, Tina Meza and Matilda Valdez; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Scott Funeral Home.
