Marilyn Lackey, age 79 of Alvin, Texas went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 22nd, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family. Marilyn was born July 10, 1944 in Granite City, Illinois and was a long-time resident of Alvin, Texas for over 40 years. She was a homemaker, and Christian by faith. Marilyn loved to take care of her family. Marilyn married the love of her life on July 12, 1962 and spent the beginning part of her time traveling with her late husband as he served in the military. She enjoyed watching her grandkids and great grandkids grow. She loved watching her shows and spending time with her pups Tinkerbell, and Bacon.

Marilyn was such a sweet and loving women, she was everyone's beloved Grandma, and will be dearly missed by all.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband Jim Lackey, parents Mahilia and Chester Parker, siblings Bonnie Eastman, Ted Parker, Lynn Cowan, and Jack Parker.

Marilyn is survived by her loving daughter Debbie Lackey Mohan and husband Randy Mohan, son Mark Lackey and wife Terri Lackey. Best friend and sister in law Armentha Stillman.

She leaves behind several friends, family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchild. Grandchildren Linda Mann and husband Tony Jackie Vanderslice and wife Loni, Michael Vanderslice wife Connie, Mark Vanderslice and wife Kirby, Sean Defore and wife Callie, Dakota Defore, Bryan Negrini wife Yessenia, and Lorraine Negrini. Great Grandchildren Bradley, Hunter, Kailey, Kinsly, Paul, Ellie, Olivia, Maddox. Great Great Grandson Grayson.

A visitation will be held on June 30th, 2024 between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at 1:00pm.

Services for Marilyn will be held at Scotts funeral home at 1421 East Hwy 6, Alvin, Texas 77511
