Marilyn Lilley Evans, age 88 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at her home with family by her side. Marilyn was born November 23, 1937 in Algoa, Texas and was a lifetime resident of the area. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Marilyn will be dearly missed by all that knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, James Evans Jr.; parents, George and Veva Lilley Sr.; grandchildren, Wendy Feldpausch and Tripp Wostal; sisters, Carolyn Mann and Joan Floyd; son in law, Bobby Brown.

Marilyn is survived by daughters, Cheryl Evans-Trapp, Louise Evans-Wostal (Wally), Linda Brown; sons, James Evans III (Alyssa), John Evans; brother, George Lilley Jr.; sisters, Elizabeth Patterson, Barbara Hausman, Priscilla Tyrone and Alice Lawson; grandchildren, Cara Mcafee (Jonathan), Aubrey Barricklow (Graham), Bo Bergfeld (Staci), Boone Bergfeld (Amber), Branson Bergfeld (Shelby), Regina Glaskox (John), Trey Rose (Amanda), Brandee Wilkins (James), Lindsey Allen (Chad), Tabitha Garcia (Rob), Hayley Brown, Kara Stevenson (Matt), James Evans (Brandi), John Evans (Haley) and Jase Evans (Kaitlyn); 45 great grandchildren; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Pallbearers: Kelly Evans, Trey Rose, James Evans, John Evans, Jase Evans, Gage Slaughter, Dylan Folse, and Kane Allen.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Scott Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Monday, August 3, 2026 at Scott Funeral Home.
