Maria E. Jimenez Perez, known affectionately to all as Eva, age 77, of Alvin, Texas, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026. A woman of immense character, honor, and deep sensibility, she carried herself through life with a rare grace and wisdom that left a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Eva was a deeply spiritual woman and a faithful servant of Jehovah. She lived her faith and beliefs every day of her life, never wavering in her convictions. She found great joy in her extended spiritual family and cherished the deep bonds she shared with the members of her Congregation. She was the definition of compassion and patience. Many people, both young and old, looked to Eva for guidance; she had a special way of offering insight, comfort, and understanding, making those around her feel truly seen and heard. While she was a guide to many, her heart belonged first to Jehovah and then her Family.

She was a devoted mother to her two daughters and a proud grandmother to her six grandchildren, who were the light of her life. They all lovingly knew her as "Tita." Eva shared a unique and tender bond with each one of her grandchildren. Proverbs 17:6 "Grandchildren are a crown to the aged...", This crown was evident in the way she loved and cherished her babies.  Proverbs 31: 25 " She is clothed with strength and splendor, and she looks to the future with confidence."

Eva is survived by her two daughters, Marlen and Maili; her son-in-law, Jesus Moncada; and her six cherished grandchildren: Alina Perez, Emmanuel Moncada, Esmeralda Yepez, Natalia Moncada, Ashlee Yepez, and Marisela Moncada.

A visitation will be held Friday, May 1, 2026, at Scott Funeral Home from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM, with an hour of remembrance beginning at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Scott Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Oak Park Cemetery.
