Maria Leonor Rostro Gonzalez, age 73 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at UTMB Galveston.  Maria was born December 29, 1950 in San Ciro De Acosta, San Luis Potosi and had been a resident of Alvin for over 50 years. She attended St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Maria is preceded in death by her husband, Angel Gonzalez; parents, Geronimo Rostro and Entocia Ruiz; son, Jose Angel Gonzalez; niece, Maria de Jesus Martinez Rostro.

Maria is survived by her daughter, Erica Marisol Gonzalez; sons, David Gerardo Gonzalez and Juan Manuel Gonzalez; sister, Candelaria Rostro Ruiz; brothers, Priciliano Rostro Ruiz and Cresencio Rostro Ruiz; grandchildren, Jasmine Denise Gonzalez, Carolina Cecilia Garcia and David Angel Gonzalez; cousin, Ma Luisa Gallegos Ruiz; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Scott Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin with interment to follow at Confederate Cemetery.
