Madison J. Smith III, age 74, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021 in Alvin, Texas. Madison was born on December 29, 1946 in Corpus Christi, Texas and was a resident of Alvin for 58 years. Madison proudly served in Vietnam and was a 23-year veteran of the United States Air Force.

Madison is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn A. Smith of almost 53 years. Sons, Raymond J. Smith and wife, Malinda and Clint C. Smith and wife, Jana. Sisters, Jerry B. Wade, Sandra Hammond and husband, Bruce and Cynthia Merritt and husband, Denny. Brothers, David Smith and wife, Lisa, and Jason Smith. Grandchildren, Gabrielle Branch and husband, Timothy, Savannah Smith, and Colton Smith. Great grandchildren, Madilynn and Margo Branch and many other family members and good friends.

Madison is preceded in death by his parents, Madison J. Smith II and Doris M. Blankenship, Stepmother, Callie Smith and brothers, Ethan Smith, Johnny Smith, Joseph Smith, and grandson Austin Smith.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Scott Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Scott Funeral Home.
