Lucy Bossley Pannell, 76, of Alvin passed away September 9, 2023 at HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake. Lucy was born May 15, 1947 in Beaumont, Texas to C. G. "Al" and Virginia Bossley. The family soon moved to Alvin, Texas. Lucy graduated from Alvin High School in 1965 where she was a member of the band. She received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology from University of Houston Clear Lake. Lucy worked for many years in parks and recreation for the cities of Alvin, Missouri City, and Angleton. Lucy also worked for Texas-New Mexico Power and retired from the Houston-Galveston Area Council. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Alvin.

Lucy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bill Pannell; daughters Karyn Pannell and partner, Gary Ingram of Sugar Land; Sara Pannell and husband, Marcel Pannell of Alvin; son Steven Pannell of Galveston; grandchildren Bryce Pannell, Grace Pannell, Alex Pannell, and David Pannell all of Alvin; and her beloved dogs, Buddy, Bambi, and Sam. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, September 13 at Scott Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 14 at the First Presbyterian Church in Alvin. Graveside Services will follow at City of Alvin Oak Park Cemetery.
