Louis Richard "Ricky" LeBlanc Jr., age 55 of Alvin, Texas passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital in Houston, Texas. Ricky was born August 5, 1966 in Klamath Falls, Oregon and has been a resident of Alvin since 1994. Ricky grew up in League City, Texas and is a 1984 graduate of Clear Creek High School, attended Lamar University in Beaumont, and TSTI in Waco.  He spent over 30 years doing highway and roadway maintenance in the Houston area and beyond; most recently working as a Project Manager for Roy Jorgensen. Ricky is preceded in death by his parents, Louis Richard LeBlanc Sr. and Nancy LeBlanc and his grandparents, Andrew and Ruby LeBlanc and Otis and Lydia LeBlanc.

Ricky's larger than life personality is what made people instantly love him and he never met a stranger.  He was not afraid to tell you what was on his mind, but had a sensitive side that would see.  He was well respected in his professional circle and had a reputation for his extreme work ethic.

If Ricky was not working, his "therapy", as he called it was taking a ride on his Harley.  If it was 8 minutes or 8 hours, he loved going on rides.  Other activities he enjoyed throughout his life were coaching little league football with Roy, going to the deer lease, hanging out at Magers Crossing at the Frio, tinkering in his shop, karaoke with friends, cooking brisket at cook-offs, midnight snacking, attending anything his kids were involved in (band, football, softball, or powerlifting), cooking with his granddaughters, football and cold beer, and making breakfast on Sunday mornings.  The pride and joy of Ricky's existence were his children and grandchildren. He looked forward to any of them being home and his face would light up when any of his precious granddaughters entered the room.

Ricky is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Barbara LeBlanc; daughters, Shaelin LeBlanc and boyfriend Kerry Rice, Kayla LeBlanc and boyfriend Austin Barajas; son, Wesley LeBlanc; sister, Michelle Peltier and husband Bryan, brother, Michael LeBlanc; grandchildren, Camdyn LeBlanc, Olyv Moore and Vylet Moore; nephews, B.J. Peltier and Mikey LeBlanc; niece, Lyssa Peltier; along with numerous extended family and many friends.

Honorary pall bearers will be: Wesley LeBlanc, BJ Peltier, Todd Minter, Michael LeBlanc, Jr, Austin Barajas, and Cameron Garton.

The family would like to thank those who have reached out to them during this very difficult time.  Ricky's village was large and they are grateful.  Continued prayers would be appreciated.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM with a Memorial Service to begin at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 11 at Scott Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ricky's name may be made to American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.
