Lino Garcia Jr., age 72 of Alvin Texas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 surrounded by his family. Lino was born June 5, 1953 in Sugarland, Texas and was a member of the Alvin community for many years. Lino served in the United States Marine Corps from 1973 to 1985 and upon honorable discharge, Lino worked at the Houston Chronicle for 24 years. Many years after retiring, Lino could not stay still so he decided to go back to work and he worked at advanced auto parts in Alvin, Texas for five years.

Lino is proceeded in death by his parents, Inez and Lino Garcia, Sr., sister, Betty Garcia, brother, Tio Garcia, and daughter Maria Leven , grandsons Aaron Gamez, and Gabriel Garcia , granddaughter, Grace Garcia.

Lino is survived by his wife of 54 years Virginia Garcia, son Michael Garcia and wife, Ana, daughters Lena Prado and Cassandra Garcia. , His grandchildren, Eric, Mariana, Mikey, Gumaro, Noe, Omar, Priscilla and Nico and also one great grandson David Garcia. Also numerous brothers and sisters and many relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Scott funeral home from 2 PM to 3 PM and a funeral service beginning at 3 PM Floral arrangements and ect. under the direction of Scott family 1421 E Hwy 6 Alvin, TX 77511. (281) 585-1000.
