A beautiful light went out Friday, November 5, 2021.  Lauren Elise Feuz, 29, of Alvin, TX, went to be with her Lord and Savior.  After a long illness, Lauren passed at Memorial Hermann hospital.

Lauren was born June 9, 1992 in Gillette, Wyoming.   She spent her younger years there, moving to Manvel, TX with her parents in 2000.  She attended Alvin ISD schools and graduated with honors from Manvel High School in 2010.  Lauren was well liked by her peers, was in the band, and excelled in sports.  She particularly loved soccer.  While being a student of excellence, she also worked at Sonic in Manvel during her high school years.  Lauren was driven and knew what she wanted.  Growing up watching the compassion her mother had as a nurse, and the admiration Lauren had for her late uncle, Dr. Russell Keith Miller, Jr., Lauren knew the health care field was where she belonged. After graduating high school, Lauren was accepted to UTMB school of nursing in Galveston, TX.  While a student, she was a nurse director at St.Vincent's clinic in Galveston. In 2014, she graduated with honors.  Knowing it would open doors for her, Lauren went on to apply and accept a residency at Ben Taub Hospital in Houston where, again, she showed her compassion and excellence in the field of nursing.  With that experience, she went on to accept her dream job at Texas Children's Hospital, primarily working in the Emergency room.  Lauren had great compassion and love, working with burn victims at Shriner's Hospital in Galveston.  Even during her illness, Lauren continued to work and care for covid patients.

Lauren met and then married the love of her life on November 5, 2016.  In December of 2018, Lauren gave birth to her daughter.  Her daughter, Aurora, was her pride and joy.

Lauren had several hobbies.  She loved nature and enjoyed the beauty of the outdoors.  She enjoyed being able to document this love through her photography.  Lauren was selfless and made it possible for medically challenged children to attend camp.  Lauren also enjoyed wood work, crafting, cooking, and volunteering.

Lauren was loved.   Her family and friends will always remember Lauren as a sweet, caring, loving, and kind person.  She strived to help others and never let anyone down.  Her parents will remember her as a loving daughter who was the closest a person can be to perfection.  She will be so missed by all who loved her.  Lauren's loving sweet spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.  May we all follow Christ as she did and Love one another.

Lauren is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Feuz, and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. K. Miller.

Lauren is survived by her daughter, Aurora Courtright; her parents, Ben and Kim Feuz; her sister Leah; husband, Christopher Courtright; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at The Church of The Harvest in Manvel, Texas.
