Kenneth Waylon Moore, age 83 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022, surrounded by his family. Kenneth was born on June 13, 1938, in Andalusia, Alabama and was a long-time resident of Alvin.

Kenneth attended high school in Opp, AL graduating in 1956. He then left home to attend The University of Alabama for 2 years, had a break working and serving his country in the Army and graduated with his bachelors from The University of West Florida. Our Dad supported his family as a computer systems analyst for Monsanto Chemical Co. in Pensacola, FL, Decatur, AL and finally in Alvin, TX. He also was a part time computer instructor at Alvin Community College for 30 years. He gave back to his community by umpiring girls softball, Alvin Packers board member and teaching the AARP 55 Alive class. His favorite activities included flying his airplane and watching/attending Houston Astros baseball games with his family.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, James Noah and Nancy Belle Moore, brothers, James Ferrell Moore, Harold Clinton Moore and wife Mattie, Rayburn Lloyd Moore.

Kenneth is survived by his, daughter, Pam Finger and husband Byron, son, Ron Moore and wife Angie, 4 grandchildren, Billy Finger, Suzanne Finger, Kenneth Moore, James Moore, sister-in-law, Mary Etta Moore, nephew Richard, nieces -Linda, Barbie, Marcella and ex-wife Barbara Moore.

The family is very grateful for The Delaney at South Shore; Dad's home the last 3 years. We appreciate the wonderful care and support shown by all the staff to him and us. Also, thankful for staff with Season's Hospice and Essential Hospice.

A memorial visitation will be Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. with a memorial service beginning at 10:30 A.M.

Our Dad was a very practical person and liked supporting his local community. In Lieu of flowers, please support Brazoria County families dealing with the effects of dementia.
