Juanita Francis Wright, age 95 of Alvin , Texas passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 at her home. Juanita was born August 4, 1927 in Cambellton, Texas and was a 20 plus year resident of Alvin.  She spent time doing various maintenance jobs on the King Ranch and spent many years as an Early Childhood Development Teacher. Juanita was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Nolan Wright; parents, Frank and Josephine Smith Sr.; sister and brother in law, Norma and Joe Vest; brother, Frank Smith Jr.

Juanita is survived by her daughters, Terry Pavlock (Bill), Beverly Chase and Cheryl George; son, Rick Wright (Jana); grandchildren, Clint Chase (Shanda Robinson), Dane Chase (Melissa), Brent Chase, Clayton Staff (Brandi), Cole Pavlock (Amanda), Cade Pavlock (Shannon), Cooper Pavlock (Jasmine Ivy), Brooke Grimsinger (Lee), Jake Wright, Luke Wright (Abbey), Haleigh Gutierrez, Brendan Gutierrez and Sean Burnett (Faith); great grandchildren, Carson Chase, Hunter Chase (fiancé Alex Whitehead), Michelle Gregory (Matt), Anna Staff (Anthony Jauregui), Wyatt Staff (Meredith), Morgan Staff, Nolan Staff, Mckenna Cox, Nevaeh Lucas, Zoey Pavlock, Quinn Pavlock, Everly Pavlock, Josie Pavlock, Hayes Pavlock, Avery Grimsinger, Fallon Grimsinger, Blake Grimsinger, Colton Wright, Jimmy Nolan Wright, Madelyn Sanders, Paige Rector and Bryson Rector; great-great grandchildren, Adyn and Penelope Jauregui; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Memorials can be made in Juanita's honor to the St. Jude's Children Hospital.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Scott Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Thursday, May 18, 2023 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, May 22, 2023 at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
