Juan Raul Savedra Jr., age 57 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024.  Juan was born March 3, 1967, in Corpus Christi, Texas, and was a member of the Alvin community for 24 years.

John was an avid outdoorsman with his passion of hunting and fishing, but most of all the love for his Houston Astros. Juan was very well known in the Alvin community as "Coach John".  John was a very devoted husband, father, son and friend and always wanted his family together as often as they could through his love for cooking.

John is survived by his wife Tina Savedra, daughter Taylor Savedra Torres and husband Luis; son Jared Robert: parents, Angelita and Juan Savedra Sr.; sister Cynthia Smith and husband Scott; brother Joe Louis Savedra and wife Lorraine, and brother Jerry Savedra.

Pallbearers will be Jerran Schiller, Robert Tafolla, Jacob Fuerte, Jason Fuerte, Ramon Arevalo, Robert Garza, Justin Saverda.

John worked in the chemical plant refinery industry, most recently at Pemex (Shell) for over 30 years.

On behalf of the family, we would like to thank everyone for the outpour of messages, food and all the support during this difficult time, we appreciate all the love.

A visitation will be held at Mary Queen Catholic Church in Friendswood, Tx., Friday, May 17, 2024 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with a funeral mass will beginning at 1:00 PM.
