John Goodrum, 45, of Manvel, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on his birthday, January 18, 2025. Born to James and Cindy Goodrum, John was a loving son, a cherished brother to Keith Goodrum, Michael Goodrum, and Melissa LaCoste.

John had an unparalleled zest for life and a generous spirit. He loved working on anything with a motor and was always the first to lend a hand. From transporting hospital and emergency workers during hurricanes to repairing generators to ensure people had power, John's selflessness knew no bounds.

When John wasn't working, you could find him enjoying the outdoors, hunting, or fishing. He also had a love for sharp dressing and spent his free time playing pool, throwing darts, or captivating a crowd with his karaoke performances. Despite his active lifestyle, John always made time to sit under the stars or relax at his favorite spot along the Guadalupe River.

An avid cook with a passion for sharing meals, John delighted in cooking for his friends and family. His homemade cookies were legendary, and he took pride in seeing the joy his culinary creations brought to others.

The Goodrum family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and stories during this difficult time. John's life was a testament to living fully, loving deeply, and giving generously. He will be dearly missed but forever remembered.

A celebration of John's life will be held on February 2nd, 2pm at the Alvin-Manvel Knights of Columbus Hall. 129 County Rd 146, Alvin, TX 77511
